EXPEDIA GROUP RELEASES TRENDS AND PREDICTIONS FOR 2021

Expedia Group released its 2021 Travel Trends Report, highlighting the critical role travel will play in bringing people together following nearly a year of relative isolation. The report* contains findings from a study of 2,200 Americans in partnership with data intelligence firm Morning Consult, which explored how COVID-19 has influenced trip plans and the way consumers feel about travel in the year ahead. In combination with proprietary data from Brand Expedia®, Expedia Group™ Media Solutions, Travelocity®, and Vrbo®, the report provides a broad outlook on travel and industry recovery in 2021.

SINGAPORE RESIDENTS TO ENJOY EXTENDED SEASON WITH QUANTUM OF THE SEAS

Royal Caribbean International announced the extension of the Singapore season for Quantum of the Seas, one of Asia’s largest and most revolutionary ships. This follows the success of the safe cruises pilot programme, which launched in December 2020. With this extension, Royal Caribbean will deploy Quantum for an additional three months in Singapore between 22 March 2021 and 21 June 2021.

flydubai RESUMES FLIGHTS TO COLOMBO, SRI LANKA

 flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, will resume flights to Colombo with a twice-weekly service. Flights to Colombo start from 17 February as the authorities in Sri Lanka ease travel restrictions for international travel. The carrier will operate flights between Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) and Colombo International Airport (CMB) with flights now available to book on flydubai.com.

THE FORMER SIX SENSES DUXTON SINGAPORE IS NOW DUXTON RESERVE, AN AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION HOTEL

Marriott has expanded its Autograph Collection to Singapore with the rebranding of one of the best boutique heritage hotels in the city.
Owned by The Garcha Group, the 49-room hotel opened in 2018 as the first Six Senses hotel in Singapore. Six Senses ceased management of the hotel on 31 May 2020, and now Marriott has officially added the property – rebranded as the Duxton Reserve Singapore – to the Autograph Collection.
