In the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, Oetker Collection’s Masterpiece Estates welcomes its eighth estate, Gordon Castle. An extraordinary destination perfect for family getaways, weddings, gatherings and special events, travelers looking to experience the breathtaking beauty and richness of Highland heritage will be delighted by this wondrous Scottish retreat.

Built in the 1770’s by the Duke of Gordon, Gordon Castle is the former home to one of Scotland’s oldest families, House of Gordon. It developed into an auxiliary hospital during the Great War and has since been restored and cared for by Angus Gordon Lennox, grandson of a war hero from World War Two. Gordon Castle has been enhanced with modern comfort and technology, all while maintaining the property’s rich history and authenticity.

The Castle includes 8 bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom and a king-sized bed, a drawing room, two large reception rooms, and a billiard room. The estate also has a selection of beautiful cottages which are available for exclusive hire with the Castle or can be rented separately.

With the Spey River running through the property, some of the best salmon fishing in the world can be found on the Gordon Castle Estate. Surrounded by rolling green grounds, Gordon Castle resides only 40 miles from Inverness Airport and 50 miles from Aberdeen Airport. Near the estate, guests can partake in adventure activities such as salmon fishing, stalking, clay pigeon shooting, archery, falconry and boating, or take a leisure stroll through the delightful Walled Garden. Within the estate itself, additional facilities can be arranged for further cost.
The Masterpiece Estates Collection launched in September 2018 with the intention of offering tailor-made experiences within exclusive, historical houses, all while ensuring unparalleled luxury remains at the forefront.
