Another world-renowned hotel brand is set to make its Dubai debut this year, and we don’t have long to wait for it. Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, which is unsurprisingly found in Jumeirah, is set to open its doors in the first quarter of the year.

Promising 178 rooms, 78 high-end suites and six new restaurants at its beachfront location, Mandarin Oriental Dubai will offer  ‘a new wave of luxury’ when it arrives on the shores of Dubai in the next couple of months.

The hotel has been designed by acclaimed international designer Jeffrey Wilkes, and the stunning lobby will welcome guests on arrival with a forest of 900 lights in trees leading to the beach front. The lobby then opens up onto an outdoor terrace comprising water features, walkways, stone bridges and decks creating a path to the pristine shoreline.

Inside Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai will be six brand new restaurants for guests and residents alike to get their teeth into. Chef Jose Avillez, of two Michelin-star restaurant Belcanto in Lisbon will take diners on a journey through Portuguese cuisine at Tasca, a vibrant indoor and alfresco restaurant. There will also be Japanese steakhouse called Netsu.

The resort will also be the home to The Bay, a brasserie-style, all-day dining restaurant with show-kitchens and family-friendly menus and Noor Lounge, which will open round the clock for light bites.

The Mandarin Cake Shop, Sun Vibe poolside restaurant and the Club Lounge, accessible for guests of the Club Rooms and suites, completes the offering.

Elsewhere in the hotel, you’ll find a 2,000-square-metre spa with nine treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art gym and ‘Little Nomads’ kids’ club.
