Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with Southbank’s eclectic vibe.

Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famous Sea Containers building, Mondrian at Sea Containers has quickly become one of the top hotels in London.

Working with Design Research Studio, under the creative guidance of the renowned British designer Tom Dixon, this hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920’s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondarian brand is notorious.

Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from the outside of the building, throughout the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. The most glamorous of spaces will be the rooftop bar, with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, featuring panoramic views over London.

Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the Southbank neighborhood, Mondrian at Sea Containers is considered one of London top hotels right now. It is located within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hallthe National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye.

The Rooms

Award-winning designer Tom Dixon fuses cutting-edge design and functionality in each guestroom, rendering an ambiance that embodies the elegance of a transatlantic 1920’s liner with a healthy dose of 1980’s post-modernism reference.

All of the spacious Loft Suites feature queen or king beds, custom designed dimmable lighting, bespoke furniture and a stunning oversized marble bathroom indicative of Hollywood Glamour, complete with free standing bath, rainfall shower and MALIN+GOETZ amenities.

Unique design items include a drip wall painting handcrafted by Tom Dixon, as well as his signature wingback chair which appears in the Loft Suite’s separate living area. Many of the Loft Suites are connected to a second bedroom (ideal for families).

The Restaurants & Bars

Inspired by the golden age of transatlantic travel and the bounty of local fresh products from the famed Borough market, Sea Containers restaurant combines the best of England and America, creating a venue that is refined in its offers, yet youthful and casual.
