Rajasthan brings to mind a land full of colour, vibrancy and cultural splendour. lebua Resort, Jaipur has a vocabulary of design that looks inwards at this rich source for inspiration.
lebua Resort, Jaipur has been generating interest for its contemporary vision of Indian design even before its official opening, in 2010. Planned as a spa destination, inspired by the architectural traditions of Rajasthan, it delivers a unique and eclectic experience.
The philosophy of the resort is about living with history, keeping an awareness of the past while looking towards the future. It was designed by Ahmedabad-based architect Aniket Bhagwat and it was inspired by Jantar Mantar, the Royal Observatory of Jaipur, built in 1728.
This resort is a series of extraordinary shapes and structures: the raw red stone of the first great arched building appears fiery in the evening sun, and the large, circular Chakra Bar has fountains of mist swirling outside its slit windows. The suites themselves are all about the jeweled colors for which Jaipur is known fuchsia, emerald green and blue sapphire that set off against black-and-white zigzag terrazzo floors
Three villas are set in an enclosed courtyard, each of 1900 sq. ft. with a private pool and Jacuzzi. The spacious interior is crafted with intricate inlay, hammered metal surfaces and mirror-work.
Miniature style artworks are interpreted in layers of glass creating a sense of depth. Each villa has a Deluxe Suite above with independent access. The bathrooms have a black river stone finish with a white marble sunken, bath tub and a rain shower.
The 60 suites at lebua Resort, Jaipur are celebrations of textures, patterns, latticework and color. Planned along crescent shaped streets at varying heights, each suite is ensured a view of the Aravali mountains. Vibrant gemstone hues, unique black and white terrazzo flooring and traditional bay windows for seating, distinguish the spaces.
The resort has also 14 Luxury Suites, 19 Deluxe Suites and 27 Executive Suites.
lebua Resort offers choices of private dining ranging from the glorious Machan Pavillion, the property’s highest vantage point with stunning views, to the outdoor Sunken Dining venue surrounded by water, candles and rose petals.
This restaurant serves cuisine with subtle flavors and unique Asian and Continental recipes. The chef creates divine combinations from fresh ingredients.
Jal Pool-side Restaurant (Pan Asian Cuisine)
It offers a Pan-Asian menu. A modern glass palace like space is created using layers of glass arches. Special dining is also possible at various rooftop venues or at the Pavillion, the highest vantage point on the property.
