Launching May 23rd, the Hotel de la Ville, a Rocco Forte hotel, is the most awaited opening of the year in Rome and promises the ultimate views over the eternal city. Indeed the historical structure artfully spread over several levels means that the suites and large terraces are quite unrivalled in town offering a totally unique high rise angle and the grandest of panoramas

Architect Tommaso Ziffer has collaborated with Director of Design Olga Polizzi in bringing to life the aesthetics and cultural sentiments of the 18th and 19th century Grand Tour of Europe in a contemporary key. The result is a bold and vibrant feel which pervades the building offering a sumptuous theatrical set reflective of Roman intricacies throughout the ages up to modern days.

Hotel De La Ville’s 104 rooms and suites are filled with playful, contemporary furniture and sumptuous fabrics that draw influence from the era of the Grand Tour and the memories that would have been collected during the journey. With traditional wooden floors, elegant marble bathrooms and wonderful views over via Sistina and the rooftops of the Eternal City, Hotel De La Ville promises to be Rome’s most artistic and timeless hotel.

With creative, fresh Roman cuisine as envisioned by the Maestro, Michelin-starred chef Fulvio Pierangelini, and an elegant drinks programme, the six new food and drinks offerings at the Hotel de la Ville will deliver authentic Roman gastronomic experiences.

Capturing Italian bistro style, the Lobby Lounge & restaurant will serve classical Roman, yet contemporary dishes that showcase sensational local produce alongside local and biodynamic wines.

The other restaurant, meanwhile, will offer elegance and friendly international ambience with a Mediterranean-inspired menu and views out over the hotel’s beautiful courtyard.
