The Hippodrome was created for world travelers by the owner and celebrated architect, Nahim Dagdug, who redesigned the hotel after a 16-month, three million dollar renovation, with spare-no-expense luxury finishes, state-of-the-art technology, unexpected design details, while providing a new standard of personalized hospitality.
Privacy is the new luxury and the Hippodrome extends this invaluable amenity to all its guests. In addition, the hotel features 24-hour personal butlers, complimentary transfers from the airport to the hotel, Slim LCD Smart TVs with Netflix, Movie City, satellite and cable, Sonos Playbar, free WIFI, 24-hour front desk, concierge, room service, Vivenda 600-count linens and Molton Brown bathroom products. Some of the rooms feature private patios and balconies overlooking the gorgeous art deco architecture of La Condesa.
The hotel’s color scheme and design reads absolute luxury. The room’s rich plum and cool gray fabrics complement the acclaimed Canadian interior designer Robert Maar’s custom made hardwood pieces and furniture, accented with classic art deco décor like beveled wall mirrors, geometric steel cut out partitions, finished with thoughtful layout of in-room amenities. Room categories range from the 195 square-foot Deluxe Rooms to the 935 square-foot Signature Suite featuring two bedrooms and a private terrace.
The butler service will extend to every part of the guest’s stay from arranging city or shopping tours, restaurant reservations, salon appointments, packing/unpacking suitcases, laundry/ ironing, and expertly prepared coffee and cocktail refreshments at any time of the day or night. Butlers are at guests’ disposal 24-hours a day anticipating their needs and ensuring their comfort and ultimate satisfaction.
The hotel will also feature AIDA, a stunning on-site, three level, 80-seat restaurant with a clandestine side entrance, open atrium, wine cellar and three bars consisting of the main bar open to the public, an exclusive gin-focused terrace bar for VIPs and hotel guests and a third for private events. This soon-to-open city hotspot will feature New Mexican cuisine, incorporating traditional recipes with new techniques and fresh ingredients with a “farm to table” philosophy, adding to Mexico City’s emerging and vibrant gastronomy scene.
The Hippodrome Hotel is located near the famous Reforma parkway and vibrant nightlife scene, a 15-minute walk from Chapultepec forest and museums, a 15-minute drive from downtown and a 25-minute drive from Mexico City International Airport.
Deluxe Room rates start at $210 a night, plus tax. For more information and reservations please visit, www.hippodrome.mx.com.
