Inspired by the reopening of Hôtel Plaza Athénée, Christophe Michalak and Jean-Marie Hiblot are unveiling a new collection of cakes to be served in the redecorated Galerie on Avenue Montaigne.
At the entrance of La Galerie, elegant windows display holograms of the most emblematic recipes including the anticipated “Goûter by Michalak”. The elegantly presented cakes include meringues with a slightly tangy taste of mango and passion fruit, fondant verrines, which are caramel flavoured crunchy chocolate, and crispy iced fancies made with pistachio and apricot.
The cakes vary every day depending on the chefs’ frame of mind, but although their creations are different, they are all consistently made with seasonal produce. The custards, brioches and flaky pastries all draw on the chefs’ expertise and attention to detail.
This “Haute Couture” afternoon tea is available only in the Galerie at the Hotel Plaza Athénée for 40 Euros.
