Christian Stan, at 24 Nov. 16, in News was born from the passion and dedication of a group of Florentines determined to share their knowledge and love for their city internationally. Among them is Patrizio Cipollini, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, who initiated the first talks about creating an innovative website to promote Florence as a destination back in 2012.

The result is the launch of an exciting website, created in partnership with 11 luxury Florentine hotels and leading professionals in the field of publishing, creativity and communication.

florence-8 selects, creates and offers unique experiences of the city and of Tuscany that are usually inaccessible. It keeps visitors informed in advance of the city’s major cultural and entertainment events and introduces them to select places, off-the-beaten track artistic craft shops and lesser-known local treasures. It creates and offers exclusive cultural and recreation activities, with a rich program of private visits available upon reservation. The website is built in a form of a storytelling that involves famous local insiders and features videos showing personal stories including those of the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, the famous wine producer Piero Antinori, the tenor Andrea Bocelli, and many others. The idea is to show the city in a light that only those who live there and love it can do, completely changing the perception and experience of the place, hence the website’s motto: “Arrive as a Guest, Leave as a Friend.”
