Situated on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the shores of Lake Tai, Suzhou is a major economic centre and focal point of trade and commerce in Jiangsu Province. Founded in 514 BC, Suzhou has over 2,500 years of history, with an abundant display of relics and sites of historical interest. Known as the “Venice of the East”, the city’s canals, stone bridges, pagodas and meticulously designed gardens have contributed to its status as one of the top tourist attractions in China, with its classical gardens being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The key feature of the new resort is its unique destination wellness centre that will include more than 30 indoor and outdoor natural hot springs pools. Oxygen rooms, infrared cabins and salt saunas will also be available in the centre for the wellbeing of guests and local residents. This extensive offering will be complemented by the Thai-inspired treatments of Dusit’s own Devarana Spa in six luxuriously appointed treatment rooms.
Dining outlets at the resort will include an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and a Lobby Lounge. A 400 sqm pillarless ballroom and four meeting rooms with state-of-the-art audio visual facilities will cater for meetings and social events. Additional recreational facilities will include mahjong rooms, a well-equipped gymnasium, kid’s club, beauty salon and boutique.
