ANANTARA EXPANDS IN EUROPE WITH ANANTARA NEW YORK PALACE BUDAPEST

Located just a 20-minute drive from Budapest International Airport, Anantara New York Palace is currently undergoing its transition to the Anantara brand and will introduce a full suite of hallmarks during the first half of 2022.

The soft renovation is scheduled to be completed in spring 2022 and will reveal a new lobby and stylish rooms, with the addition of the White Salon, an all-day dining restaurant serving quintessential Hungarian cuisine. 

The hotel consists of 185 guestrooms and suites, accented by centuries-old art and antiques. Each of the two Presidential Suites offers 1,453 square feet of space bedecked with handmade Murano glass chandeliers, custom-made furniture, luxurious marble bathrooms and Italian design features. There are also four dining options. The New York Café, led by Chef Andras Wolf, serves fine dining accompanied by resident classical musicians beneath frescoed ceilings, Venetian chandeliers and gilded balustrades. The Poet Bar is an intimate setting for after-dinner drinks, while the Deep Water Room offers signature Anantara breakfasts and all-day dining. Bathed in natural light from a glass ceiling, the Atrium serves cocktails and light refreshments. 

Upon its completion later in 2022, the new Anantara Spa will have four treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and a heated relaxation pool. Treatments will showcase the healing philosophies of Anantara’s Thai roots with elements inspired by the thermal bath heritage of Budapest.

Anantara gurus lead excursions to the city and the surrounding countryside. Guests can ride in a vintage VW Samba campervan around the city or go for a romantic cruise on the Danube river. Indigenous experiences focus on Hungarian folklore, immersing guests in the city’s centuries-old Matyó heritage, meeting local artisans and venturing into Agárdi to produce their own Palinka, a traditional Hungarian fruit brandy.

The hotel also has extensive meetings and events facilities, including an elegant ballroom with a capacity for up to 550 guests, intimate, chic venues adorned with baroque details, and sleek conference centers designed by Iosa Ghini.

Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel joins the existing European Anantara portfolio – Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort, Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Marbella, and Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome.
